During the Kempton Slow Sand Filter M&E refurbishment, an additional requirement was identified to design and install the Mechanical & Electrical installation for a new dosing kiosk per filter bed (12 at Kempton WTW and 4 at Hampton WTW).
The project entailed the design, supply and installation of dosing kiosks, low voltage cable, instrumentation, pumps, valves, and associated pipework and dosing equipment.
FSD provided design development and support, plus project management and administration. This office support, combined with previous project on-site experience, meant that FSD could work with all project stakeholders to expedite delivery. FSD developed this scheme from inception, through concept and detailed design, off-site build, on-site installation, into commissioning and being put into service.
It was particularly challenging to maintain project progress due to global supply issues, but using FSD’s supply partners, alternative sources provided the required parts so that programme expectations were met.
